Hello everyone how are you today?? I'm happily waiting for the weekend....yes school break for a week and  we will be taking our boys for a short holiday to LOST WORLD OF TAMBUN PERAK. Past one week they have been doing the countdown......and I'm their track keeper!!  Nice to see them getting excited over it...

OK back to my dessert mother-in-law passed me some nice sweet potato over the weekend. It was all small and cute ones....I decided to make a nice dessert out of here it style of SWEET POTATO DESSERT....I added the palm seed and red pearl sago to give it a nice color combo and good taste of course! The ginger gave the dessert a nice hot taste....and it is also meant to get rid of extra wind from our peeps watch may omit this if you wish too and those who want to add it out on the quantity. :-)

Ingredients :-
300gm - sweet potato - peeled, cubed & boiled till soft
1 cup - red pearl sago
1 1/2 cup - palm seed / buah kabung ~ cut into two
1 whole piece- palm sugar / gula melaka
1/2 inch - ginger ~ crushed
1 cup - coconut milk
1 - screwpine leaf / daun pandan
salt to taste
water as needed

Method :-
  1. Boil half a pot of water with palm sugar, ginger, salt and screwpine leaf in it.
  2. Once the palm sugar has dissolved, remove the ginger and add in the palm seed, red pearl sago and the cooked sweet potatoes. Bring to a boil.
  3. Lastly add in the coconut milk and mix well. 
  4. Off the stove and the dessert is ready to be served. I always prefer to have it warm :-) 

Note :- 
Pls feel free to adjust the ingredients quantity to suit your taste.
